At the Missouri Board of Education meeting on January 10, 2023, the Board voted to lower the qualifying scores for the following Missouri Content Assessments:

  • Building-Level Administrator (080)
  • Counselor (056)
  • Elementary Mathematics Specialist (065)
  • Superintendent (059)

For Superintendent (059) candidates, the new passing score will apply to those testing after December 11, 2022.

For Building-Level Administrator (080), Counselor (056), and Elementary Mathematics Specialist (065) candidates, the new passing scores will apply to those who tested after January 8, 2023.

Currently, the unofficial results for the four assessments are based on the previous passing standards and will not reflect the new passing standards. Candidates should wait to receive their official score reports for documentation of their passing status.

Please note that the passing score requirement for all content assessments will remain a scaled score of 220 or higher. Candidates are not eligible for a refund of any test or registration fees associated with taking the MoCA.
