MEGA Program Update: Test Design Changes

The Middle School Education: Mathematics, Middle School Education: Science, Middle School Education: Social Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology tests are undergoing structural changes effective September 28, 2015. The changes involve a small reduction in the number of multiple-choice questions on each test and the addition of 15 minutes of testing time.

The restructured tests will be administered effective September 28, 2015.

Want the new test design?

  • Schedule a test appointment on or after September 28, 2015.
  • Current test design continues through September 27, 2015.

Already registered but not scheduled?

If you schedule a test appointment for a date before September 28, 2015, you will get the current test design. If you schedule a test appointment for a date on or after September 28, 2015, you will get the new test design.

Candidates who have already registered and have scheduled a test appointment prior to September 28 may:

  • Keep their current appointment and take the test with the current design
  • OR

  • Get the new test design by cancelling their current test appointment and rescheduling it for a date on or after September 28
